Hapa haole here. I’m the middle one in the picture.
Grew up in Hawaii and moved to California at 13. I’m 21 now and love living here.
My mother is Japanese and my father is all that other stuff.
I love being Hapa, I feel like it has allowed me to connect with people of all different races because it’s harder to sterotype me to a specific race.
I’ve had people think I’m Filipino, Hispanic, Native American(not often), full Asian, and even Hawaiian.
I think it’s cool that my brother looks like a more white version of me and we both strongly resemble our dad.
