Being Hapa for me is a blessing and a curse.

I am totally unique, and other people are usually surprised when I bust out my Japanese. It’s also a curse – I am never enough for both sides of the family. My mom’s side (the Japanese) wishes to marry a Japanese person. My dad’s side (the European) wishes me to marry a European.

It gets confusing sometimes.
