Hello I’m Genevieve, but I go by Gigi.

My mother is Italian, German, Irish, French and British while my father is half Japanese from my grandmother, and Hawaiian-Irish from my grandfather.

My mother has green eyes and blonde hair while my father has black hair and eyes. Both of my parents are under 5 foot 4 so its not surprise I’m about 2 inches over the 5 feet mark.

I was born in Texas and raised in Missouri. Growing up, people always assumed I was a part of their race/culture. And by people I mean everyone, I mean everyone.

This got particularly anoying when I had to fill in the little ethnicity box on standardized tests and had to leave it blank. It’s a lot like leaving a part of your identity blank, in a way. Read More

My name is Samantha, I’m 23, and very proud to be called Hapa! I’ve been called so many ethnicities from Latina to Peruvian to Native American. I love hearing people’s guesses and enjoy telling them that I’m Hawaiian/Portuguese.

Growing up with my large islander family sometimes made me feel embarrassed to be half haole (my dad’s side), but I’ve come to embrace it and be thankful.

I was fortunate enough to have grandparents who instilled in me a deep sense of my heritage and I’ve been dancing traditional hula since I was a child. It’s something I hope to pass on to my own children one day and spread the Hapa Pride!

My Name is Feena and I’m a half Asian girl, living currently in Germany.

I went to Germany when I was 4 years old and was adopted by white parents. Althought this was my new home I’ve never forgotten my roots.

My mother is Japanese but her father was Korean. My father is a Hawaiian, raised in Honolulu but my aunt told me that he also has Fillipino family. I’ve never knew that for a long time.

Now I have contact to my family like my aunt in Korea. She’s so nice and always cares about me.

I’m enganged and will marry my fiance in July 2011. He is a Japanese/Thai. His father is from Okinawa and his mother is from Chiang Rai. We will study medicine both in October and living together. Read More

To start off, I live in Southern California. I’ve spent most of my life down here, and some time in Hawaii while I wasn’t in school.

I come from a very racially mixed family on both sides. My mom’s side is mostly mixed with Spanish and French. Dad’s side is mostly Filipino but also Hawaiian, Japanese and Spanish.

I mostly grew up around my dad’s side of the family, who spoke Tagalog, Hawaiian and English. My mom’s side of the family is pretty much “Americanized” but some still speak Spanish.

I can speak a good amount of Tagalog, Spanish and Hawaiian. I tried to learn some Japanese in the past but it’s so difficult with all these languages in my head! It’s funny because sometimes I’ll say something in Tagalog or Spanish without even realizing it. I guess you can say I do a lot of things people would stereotype as “Asian”compared to American or something else. Like what I eat, or styles of living. It’s just what I’m used to. Read More

My name is Bridget Nohealani Clarke. I identify with everything and everyone. I’m Polish, Irish, French, Scottish, Hawaiian, Spanish and Chinese.

I’m the product of a blond haired blue eyed flower child who found her soul mate and husband in a brown Hawaiian man. Their parents may not like the color of each others skin, or maybe even the color of mine. All I know is that I was raised with love, and live in love everyday.
